Canova's
Perseus.
The
Neoclassical sculptor Antonio Canova was commissioned in 1800 to
sculpt this work for the Vatican Museums by Pope Pius VII after
Napolean's virtual sack of the museums.

the historic attack on the City of Troy, Ajax is famous for his
courageous defense of the great war hero Achilles' dead body. This
