This art cube includes paintings by American born contemporary painter David Newton. Working from his studio in his adopted home of County Meath, Ireland, this cube showcases his fascination with daily life. Singularly inconsequential tasks take up much of people’s days, months and years. David Newton chooses to depict these commonplace scenes to show the dramas that unfold during these everyday moments. To this end, he objectively presents tossed away moments of intimacy in hopes that the viewer will begin to witness his or her daily movements more closely and seek the underlying poetry shaping them. A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, the storycard includes a critique of the works shown.
