For the Limans (an artist and attorney) the appeal of the games lay both in their extensive designs, vivid colors and overall aesthetic impression, as well as their reflection of American history and popular culture. The cube includes a detailed historical text about the origins of American board games, as well has beautiful brightly colored images of game boards, packaging and graphics."
