In 1808 Antonio Canova completed the famous statue of Napoleon's sister, Paolina Borghese as Venus Victrix. The statue is regarded as the epitome of neoclassical art and is the best known statue in the collection of the Galleria Borghese in Rome. The decoration on our Art Glass collection has been taken from the border of the chaise where Paolina reclines.
