Product Description
"Following a period of experimentation, in 1989, the Italian artist Dario Cusani created his 'interiors' series (in particular, his study of 'the living room') s portraits of a family followed by his 'places of memories' series (cities). Though his persona is never present in his art, Cusani's works are actually n interior portrait transmitted via these 'places'; the home, the city, the factory. places that represent the memories of life. Irony, provocation nd the unexpected are characteristics favored by Cusani who deliberately makes light of existential problems, 'throwing a stone into the still ond of the conscience.' The images include iconic references to the City of New York including: The New York Subway, Yellow cabs, the Statue f Liberty, Ground Zero/the Twin Towers, and the Big Apple, each image with a descriptive critique of the artwork."
