Bust of Apollo

This portrait bust represents Apollo, the Greek god of music, poetry, art, prophecy, light and medicine. Known by his handsome features and wavy hair, he represents eternal youth.

He is often shown playing the lyre or riding a chariot across the skies, leading the sun from day into night. In this role, he is credited with keeping harmony between the movements of heavenly bodies.

Bust of Hermes

This portrait bust represents Hermes, the Greek messenger god who watched over commerce as well as communication. He is characterized by the wings on his head.

Where the Greeks saw him as a messenger from Zeus, the Romans, who called him Mercury, also envisaged him as an "interpreter" between the gods and mortals.
